It's the beginning of a new adventure, a different adventure, an unlikely adventure. On one hand we have the Mahindra Bolero Stinger, and on the other hand we're at the Hindu pilgrimage town of Gokarna. No we're not here to visit temples and pray for more Facebook fans, but we will be exploring the unexplored aspects of Karnataka in the coming days.
The path to the Om beach (yes there's a beach shaped like the Hindu Om symbol), is full of great twists and turns. What a great chance to try out the Bolero Stinger's handling. The result is quite obvious in the picture, isn't it?
Getting off track really pays in Gokarna. How else would we have discovered this brilliant view of the ocean along with that bay, which isn't visible from anywhere else?
A lot of foreign tourists visit Gokarna, and it seems some of them got a bit creative and placed rocks here in a spiral. What do you think this signifies?
Underneath the God factor, Gokarna is a gorgeous little town with simple, but friendly people. The Bolero Stinger fits right in with its beach-friendly looks. It is getting a lot of attention from the locals as well. But we have to move on to around 150 kilometers, towards the Mundgod Tibetan monasteries. Find out how that turns out tomorrow.
