In a bid to generate some buzz and generate buyer interest, Volkswagen has decided to give some new features to the popular Polo hatchback and Vento sedan.

Among other things you get a new set of alloy wheels and blackened headlamps for sharper styling. The interiors on both cars get many useful upgrades such as a leather wrapped steering wheel, gear knob and hand-brake lever, a new music system with USB and Bluetooth connectivity and speed sensing volume control and steering wheel mounted audio controls.

The Polo gets a navigation system with blue-tooth and a reverse camera as well to aid driver practicality. The Polo Highline is priced at Rs. 6.94 lakh while the Vento Highline costs Rs. 9.89 lakh (both prices ex-showroom, Delhi).

VW says that the deliveries for these updated models will start from the latter half of September. These are the first major launches from the German giant since Arvind Saxena took over as Managing Director of VW India. He was earlier with the countries second largest carmaker, Hyundai as its Director, Marketing and Sales.

Think these new updates make the cars more appealing?
