Toyota Etios sedan launched
India's own Toyota sedan at hatch prices.
Toyota made their B segment debut in the Indian market with the launch of the Etios sedan.
The car launched with four variants - starting from the lowest end model J followed by G, V and finally the top-end VX. All the variants come with the same 1.5 litre DOHC petrol engine.
The Etios has been developed specifically for Indian customers considering the 5 year development phase and intensive road testing (as claimed by Toyota).
The great thing is that the Etios is competitively priced between Rs.4,96,000 and Rs.6,86,500 (ex-showroom Delhi) and has a boot big enough to satisfy a hit-man.
Toyota also showed off the Etios hatch, titled the Etios Liva, along with a cheeky jab at "hatches with added boot". But more on that next year.
