Porsche, which recently took over distribution back from its importer in India has launched the Panamera diesel. The engine is a 3-litre V6 unit with 250bhp of power and 550Nm of torque. All this power is transferred via a eight-speed tiptronic S gearbox. Porsche claims a 0-100kph time of just 6.8 seconds, which is definitely not bad for a diesel. In-gear acceleration times sound even more promising. Porsche claims 80kph-120kph in just 4.5 seconds.

The car costs Rs 1 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the base version and features can be added as per customer requirements.

The first car was handed over to former Indian cricket captain, Kapil Dev by Porsche’s India Director, Anil Reddi.
