Harley-Davidson brings the Fat Bob to India
Third addition to the Dyna family priced at Rs 12.80 lakh ex-Delhi
Harley-Davidson's Dyna range in India consisted of just two bikes, the Super Glide Custom and Street Bob till date. Now, to give them company, the Street Bob's well-fed sibling is here: the Fat Bob.
Powered by a 1585cc V-Twin that is mated to a six-speed 'box, the engine produces 126Nm of torque (Harley does not like mentioning power figures, remember?). The Fat Bob comes equipped with dual disc brakes at the front, ABS, adjustable suspension, dual chrome headlights, Tommy Gun exhausts and an 18.8-litre fuel tank, which only means Mr. Fat Bob can actually consume a lot, like its name suggests.
At the launch event, Mr. Anoop Prakash, Managing Director, Harley-Davidson India said, "Along with being an ideal motorcycle for India attitudes and roads, the introduction of the Fat Bob, our newest addition to our lineup available through CKD, is further proof of our ability to move ahead of the marketplace by listening to our customers. The launch of the Fat Bob as CKD will allow more customers to experience our Dyna range at an attractive price point."
Acting as Harley's sixth completely knocked-down (CKD) model, the Fat Bob will be assembled at the manufacturer's plant in Bawal, Haryana and is now on sale across all 9 dealerships in the country at a price of Rs 12.80 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Willing to plump for a plumper Street Bob, TopGearers?
