Etios Motor Racing joins Colombo's Night Race
Toyota's one-make racing series drivers to battle it out around the streets of Colombo
Earlier, you would have read about Volkswagen's Polo R Cup making an appearance at the second edition of the Colombo Street Night Race this weekend and now, it is Toyota's turn.
Toyota is taking the Etios Motor Racing series to the Colombo Night Race in Sri Lanka, where 8 Indian drivers, chosen on the basis of their performance at the second EMR Exhibition Race held at Gurgaon, will compete with 2 Sri Lankan drivers driving the same Etios racing cars. These 8 drivers have been training for CNR for the past two months, and will take part in the final race today evening.
Commenting on EMR’s participation at the International racing event, Mr. Sandeep Singh, Deputy Managing Director, Marketing, Toyota Kirloskar Motor said, "EMR’s participation in Colombo Night Race will take Toyota’s racing to the next level as it will help us train our drivers and give them international exposure. We are very happy to introduce our young EMR drivers to a new format and take them overseas for the first time. Last year the Colombo Night Races was a success and we look forward to being a part the event this year."
