Bentley is a manufacturer that loves to make a point. Its cars are not only beautifully crafted and seamlessly finished, but mesmerisingly quick too. A point that it made with the Continental Supersports Coupe. It however, reset that bar with the new Conti GT Speed - and now, it's here. In India!

So, to the facts. The GT Speed is powered by an enormous 6.3-litre twin-turbocharged W12 that puts out an incredible 616bhp and 800Nm of torque, sent to all four wheels through an 8-speed automatic gearbox. This makes it the fastest Bentley ever produced, as it can hit 100kph in a mere 4 seconds, and go on to a top speed of 330kph. It is now lower, gets 21" wheels and a Torsen centre diff, which should help the 'box put the power down better. Bentley even claims a slight improvement in fuel consumption figures.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Satya Bagla, Managing Director, Exclusive Motors Pvt. Ltd. says, ‘We are ecstatic to launch the Bentley Continental GT Speed in India. The car has been making waves in the international arena and is sure to impress our customers in the growing Indian luxury auto market. The epitome of luxury, Bentley with its latest product has produced the most powerful two-door model in the Continental family. The new GT Speed has supreme levels of performance with no compromise in comfort, refinement, craftsmanship and quality.”

The most eye-watering Bentley in the history of ever will carry an equally eye-watering price tag of Rs 1.90 crore (ex-showroom, India), but then, what else would you expect of the leather-lined, ruinously-loaded Big B?
