Mahindra plans an adventurous 2013

M&M inaugurates off-road training academy, includes more events in its adventure calendar.

Homegrown SUV-major, Mahindra & Mahindra has announced adventure filled plans for the year 2013. Now in its third season, the team plans to takes the adventure quotient to the next level.

New to this year is the launch an off-road academy that will act as a training ground for budding off-roaders. Spread across 28-acres of land, the training centre located at Igatpuri will offer three levels of programme covering the Dos and Don’ts of going off-road and the basics of 4WD system. Using customised Thar 4x4s, the course will also guide participants on the use of off-road equipments and terrain-specific driving techniques.

The 2013 calendar will also see the launch of ‘Mahindra Adventure Challenge – Intercontinental 2013’ that will extend the company’s international presence while exploring eight exciting destinations. This would be in addition to the regular Great Escapes, multi-day expeditions and Challenges.

Speaking on the occasion, Vivek Nayer, Chief Marketing Officer, M&M said, “We are geared to unleash a series of Adventure initiatives throughout the year that promise even more thrills for the adventure seekers. Mahindra Adventure is now ready to extend its global footprints as it takes on all 5 continents in the first of its kind Mahindra Adventure Challenge - Intercontinental 2013.”

The calendar kicks-off with a Great Escape event starting from May 26 (Shillong) and carries on for the next nine months accommodating multi-day expeditions, challenges, Escapes and a Trination expedition as well. For more information and detailed adventure calendar, log on to www.mahindraadventure.com
