The most awaited car launch of 2013 is just around the corner. And if you had been saving up your hard-earned money (or black money), just for the Ford EcoSport then here's the chance to book one, right now.

Ford has officially commenced bookings of its first compact SUV, which can be booked at the Ford dealerships for a booking amount of Rs 50,000. The 1.5-litre petrol and diesel EcoSport will be available in four trim levels – Ambiente, Trend, Titanium and Titanium +; while the much talked about 1.0-litre EcoBoost petrol motor will be sold in two trims – Titanium and Titanium +. The EcoBoost engine will come with all the bells and whistles that Ford has to offer.

We have driven and tested the EcoSport and were mighty impressed with its performance, the fit and finish, and overall driving dynamics. Here are the links to the reviews with the diesel and the EcoBoost engines.

The Ecosport hasn't reached the showrooms yet but we expect Ford to launch its compact SUV by the end of June of early next month, at an expected price of Rs 7 lakh to 9.5 lakh, ex-showroom.

So potential EcoSport buyers, would you book one right now solely going by the reviews it has received, or will you wait for the launch first?
