Renault Koleos is here
Renault's steamrolling ahead with new Indian launches, as promised...
Renault India kept up the momentum as promised, delivering the new Koleos within months of having launched the Fluence. The Koleos was originally launched in 2008, but this facelifted variant sees first light here in India. Priced at 22.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), the Koleos is expensive but has a good features list to show for it.
Powered by a 2-litre diesel (dCi), producing 149bhp with peak torque rated at 320Nm, the Koleos boasts of lowest emissions in its class. Available with four-wheel-drive and six-speed automatic transmission, the Koleos should be a breeze to drive. It sports some more off-road credentials with a mode selector that allows you to lock 4WD, help with starts on inclines and hill descent control.
You also get a BOSE infotainment system as standard with leather wrapped seats. Moreover, the Koleos comes with a five-star crash rating and offers six-airbags, ABS and EBD. It’s available with a 4 year or 80,000km warranty as well.
Renault currently has 14 dealerships with 26 more to be added by the end of the year. They target to have a 100 by the end of next year to provide enough push for the five new models that they will launch by the end of 2012.
