Nissan Sunny now in diesel
Sunny gets an oil burner under its hood.
Nissan has opened bookings for the diesel variant of the mid-size saloon, Sunny. The Sunny was earlier available only with a 1.5-litre petrol engine that developed 98bhp.
The diesel variant is powered by a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder K9K engine that churns out 85bhp of power and a maximum torque of 200Nm, mated to a five speed manual transmission. The diesel Sunny is available in two variants – XL and XV. It is the first time Sunny is offered anywhere in the world with a K9K Diesel engine. The diesel Sunny has a claimed fuel efficiency of 21.64kpl.
The Sunny Diesel is priced at Rs 7.98 lakh for the XL variant and Rs 8.78 lakh for the XV variant (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
