TVS has launched the ABS variant of the Apache RTR200. The RTR200 is now armed with dual-channel Anti-lock Braking System.

Powered by a 197.7cc motor, the RTR200 churns out 20.7bhp and 18.1Nm of torque. Mate this engine with a five-speed gearbox and it’ll cover the 0-60kph mark in 3.95s and will go all the way up to 127kph.

The Apache RTR200 comes with a distinctive feature, Rear Wheel Lift-off Protection (RLP) control. What does the RLP do? Well, ever pulled the front brake so hard that you end up doing a stoppie? In the RTR's case, you won't. As the RLP doesn't allow the rear wheel to lift off, it gives you more confidence to do a stoppie.

The abs variant is available only in the carburetor variant and gets a price tag of Rs 1.07 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The RTR200 has a slight edge over its rivals. As the Hero Xtreme 200R and Bajaj Pulsar NS200 are equipped with optional single-channel ABS, the RTR gets dual-channel.
