Mercedes-Benz has launched a special edition of the CLA called the Urban Sport. The special edition will be available in both variants – petrol and diesel variants. If you are under the impression that this looks exactly like the standard variant, well you are not alone.

Other than a new paint scheme called ‘Cosmos Black’, there aren’t any major changes. It does get dual-zone climate control, a faux carbon rear spoiler and some ‘Sport’ badges all around the car. But that’s the end of the list. There are no mechanical changes to the car. While the 1991cc petrol motor is capable of producing 181bhp and 300Nm torque, the 2143cc diesel motor churns out 134bhp and 300Nm of torque. Both the engines are coupled to a seven-speed, dual-clutch automatic gearbox.

Speaking at the launch, Roland Folger, managing director and CEO, Mercedes-Benz India said, “It is essentially an illustration of dynamic design that seamlessly embodies an intelligent combination of functionality and agility in a modern coupé design.”

While the petrol variant of the CLA Urban Sport is priced at Rs 36 lakh, the diesel is priced at Rs 37 lakh (both prices are ex-showroom).
