Similar to what they did last year, Volkswagen has announced the arrival of the Vento and Polo IPL Edition II, in tune with the interest generated by the 2012 season of the Indian Premier League. The  special edition will feature authentic IPL goodies for the cricket enthusiasts.

Select variants of the Polo and Vento will come with an interactive car pad with multimedia entertainment system with navigation and social networking options for the rear seat passenger, dual tone leatherette seat covers, special floor mats, door sill design and IPL branding on the boot.

Mr. Neeraj Garg, Director and Member of Board with Volkswagen Passenger Cars said, "last year we launched our first action model the Vento IPL Edition and there on introduced the Breeze models of both the Polo and the Vento. The immense response we received towards these special editions has prompted us to continue with the IPL Editions and this time with both our popular carlines-the Polo and the Vento.”

Rather surprisingly, the Polo & Vento IPL Edition II will both cost no more than their standard siblings (+5 runs to VW). The special editions will be on display from today at your local VW dealership but will go on sale in the month of April 2012.

So, does the idea of the IPL Edition II bowl you over, or evade you like a fiery Brett Lee bouncer?
