Launched: Audi S4 India
Audi spices up their sedan portfolio and your Monday, with the new sporty S4
Had a bad Monday? Well, here's a bit of news to brighten up your week...
Audi launched the much awaited S4 today and it's priced from Rs 45,31,000 onwards (ex-showroom, Maharashtra), the new Audi S4 is now available at 19 Audi dealerships across the country.
“After the introduction of the new Audi A4 we saw a lot of Audi ‘fans’ requesting for the Audi S4, and we responded to this demand. The new Audi S4 joins the successful league of our sedans and we are confident that it will also script a success story similar to its predecessors”, said Michael Perschke, Head, Audi India.
Typical of Audi — the new S4 is a good mix of fast, powerful sports car with everyday practicality. The hexagonal single-frame grille, the wedge-shaped xenon headlights clasped in LED daytime running lights, the LED rear lights and the new bumpers are the most obvious cues to the updated model.
Inside, the Audi S4 is powered by a V6 3.0 TFSi engine. The six-cylinder power plant combines 333hp of power and 440Nm of torque with a fuel consumption of 10.34 kpl as per ARAI. The S4 accelerates from zero to 100kph in 5 seconds and achieves an electronically limited maximum speed of 250kph.
The Audi S4 comes standard with a seven-speed S tronic. It directs the power to the quattro drivetrain with the self-locking center differential and torque vectoring. The sport suspension lowers the vehicle body by 20mm, and a high-performance brake system provides powerful deceleration. The wheels are 18 inches in diameter.
