All new Ducati Monster 821 launched
If you’re a fan of Ducati’s Monster series, then here’s some good news for you. Ducati India has just launched the all new version of the Monster 821. And no, this is no facelift. There is a lot that has changed both outside and inside.
Firstly, the new Monster gets updated design elements that make it look a lot fresher. Leading the changes is a new headlamp. The design of the tank has changed too and so has the tail section and exhaust. The 821 also gets all new full-colour TFT instrumentation.
The chassis remains more or less unchanged but the engine has seen some updates. First off, the motor is now BSIV compliant. This has brought about a slight change in output and the Testastretta now delivers 109bhp of power and 86Nm of torque. Ducati’s Safety Pack comes standard now with the inclusion of ABS and traction control. All electronic aids including power output and throttle maps can be adjusted via the switchable riding modes.
What’s new is also that aside from these changes the 821 will now be available in a striking new yellow paint job.
Speaking at the launch, Sergi Canovas Garriga, Managing Director of Ducati India said, “For the last 25 years, the Monster has consistently delighted biking enthusiasts across the world. This year is the 25th anniversary of the Monster and we’re very proud to introduce the new Monster 821 in India, in this special year. The new Monster 821 has been designed with the aim of creating a slim and a sporty motorcycle which highlights the original concept of “Sport Naked” and gives maximum riding pleasure.”
The Ducati Monster 821 is now on sale at dealerships all over the country and will cost an introductory price of ?9.51 lakh (ex-showroom).
