Bajaj launches the Avenger Street 160

Bajaj has launched a new entry-level version of the Avenger Street. The bike comes with a 160cc engine which develops 14.8bhp and 13.5Nm of torque @ 7000rpm which is just 0.5bhp and 0.2Nm less than the 180cc version of the Avenger, which is not bad at all.

The bike has a power to weight ratio of 101bhp per tonne compared to the 96bhp per tonne of the existing 150cc version.

The 160cc Avenger gets single-channel ABS to prevent wheel locking and increase stability, 260 mm front disc brakes, slightly higher ground clearance (177mm compared to 169mm on the 180cc) for comfortable city riding, and an upright posture with a low slung seat for better riding comfort.

The Avenger Street 160 is available for Rs 82,253 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
