BS-IV compliant Honda CBR 250R launched

Honda has launched the CBR 250R with a price tag of Rs 1.93 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the ABS variant and Rs 1.63 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the standard one. The CBR 250R was discontinued last year after the compulsory implementation of BS-IV compliant engines. Now though, the Japanese manufacturer has brought back the 250R with a BS-IV compliant motor. The 2018 CBR also gets a new LED headlight and a new paint scheme.

Powering the 250R is the same quarter-litre, liquid-cooled four-stroke motor which churns out 26bhp and 22.9Nm of twist, mated to a six-speed gearbox. Honda claims that the CBR 250R has a top speed of 135kph. It’s equipped with telescopic suspension at the front and pro-link mono shock at the rear. The 250R sits on the twin-spar frame and the whole bike weighs 167kg. As far as brakes are concerned, 2018 CBR 250R gets 296mm at the front and 290mm at the rear. It comes in two variants – one with ABS and one without.

The 2018 CBR 250R goes up against the Apache RR 310, Bajaj 200 RS and the KTM RC200.
