EICMA 2018: Triumph unveils special editions of Bonneville T120

Read more on:

To commemorate Bonneville T120’s 60th anniversary, Triumph has unveiled a limited edition of the bike called as Diamond edition. It gets a new paint scheme with loads of chrome wrapped around the motorcycle. And if you are not interested in this shimmering T120, then let us introduce you to the Ace edition. The T120 Ace celebrates the first generation of cafe racers and the legendary Ace Cafe. It gets a complete blacked-out treatment. And when we say complete, we mean it gets dipped in black paint from top to bottom. Black paint scheme, black seats, black badges, black intake covers… you name it and it’s painted in black.

As these are special editions of the standard Bonneville T120, changes are solely cosmetic and not mechanical. The 1200cc motor churns out 80bhp and 105Nm of torque and is mated to a six-speed gearbox. Stopping power comes from twin 310mm discs at the front and a 255mm disc at the rear.

In terms of features, it gets all the usual electronic wizardry that you’d expect from a Triumph motorcycle. It is equipped with ABS, ride-by-wire, traction control, two riding modes (Road and Rain), cruise control and so on.

Triumph hasn’t revealed anything about the price, but both the special editions are available in limited numbers only – 900 units for the Diamond edition and 1,400 units for the Ace – so expect a higher price tag than the standard variants. So, before these beauties are sold out, run to your nearest Triumph showroom to know more about the limited edition T120.
