Hero launches upgraded versions of the Maestro and Pleasure

Hero MotoCorp has launched India’s first scooter with fuel injection (FI) – the Maestro Edge 125 now comes with a 125cc engine, unlike the previous model which had a 111cc engine. The FI variant of the scooter is priced at Rs 62,700 while the i3S (Carb) variants are priced at Rs. 58,500 (Drum) and Rs. 60,000 (Disc) (ex-showroom, Delhi). The company has also launched a new version of their existing scooter model, now called the Pleasure+ 110. The scooter is priced at Rs 47,300 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Closely following the launch of its new X range of motorcycles – XPulse 200, XPulse 200T and Xtreme 200S, this is going to be Hero's expansion into the scooter segment. The Company will commence the retail sales of the scooters over the next few weeks.

The Maestro Edge 125
The Maestro Edge 125 FI is the first scooter in the country to have fuel injection. Its engine produces a power output of 9.1 bhp and 10.2Nm of torque.

The i3S (carb) variant that comes with a 125cc Energy Boost engine, produces a power output of 8.7 bhp and 10.2 Nm of torque. The scooter also has, what Hero calls, an intuitive i3S idle-stop-start system, for higher efficiency.

The scooter has been given some useful features such as external fuel filling, mobile charging port, boot lamp, remote key opening, side stand indicator, service due reminder and digital-analogue meter. Other than that, the scooter gets a few body upgrades such as textured seats, new head-lamps, tail-lamps and a sharper front cover.

The Pleasure+ 110

Pleasure+ 110 comes with a new 110cc engine that produces a power output of 8bhp and 8.7 Nm torque, which, combined with a weight of 101kgs, should make it quite practical as a daily runabout. The Pleasure+ also gets sharper body styling and some practical features such as a USB charger, LED boot lamp, integrated braking system and a new backlit speedometer with fuel and side stand indicators.
