New Aprilia SR 125 launched, Storm unveiled
After a successful outing with the SR 150, Aprilia launches an affordable and more commuter friendly SR 125 scooter in India. Priced at ?63,310 (ex-showroom, Pune), the SR 125 comes with a 125cc, 3-valve motor churning out 9.5bhp and 9.9Nm of torque. With the SR 125, Aprilia promises “more fun and comfort to a wider audience”.
Then there’s the Storm, a uniquely designed 125cc scooter aimed at the youth looking for an exciting, fun daily ride. It gets the same motor as the SR, with identical output. The difference being with the rubber it comes shod with — Storm gets 120/80 12inch (f) and 130/80 12inch (r) compared to the 120/70 14 inchers on the SR 125. Prices for the Storm are yet to be revealed.
Alongside these two, Piaggio also unveiled a mobile connectivity app for its Vespa and Aprilia portfolio. To be available on Android and iOS platforms, riders can stay connected to their bikes and scooters at all times. Also on display were the Vespa GTS, Aprilia RS 150, Tuono 150 and its next-gen Vespa Elettrica.
