TVS Apache crosses 3 million sales milestone

3,000,000. That's the number of Apache motorcycles TVS has sold till now. Just to put things into perspective, Qatar’s population is less than 3 million. So, quite an achievement for the Indian bike maker, right? TVS had first launched the Apache in 2005 and since then, the line-up has been diversified from 150cc to 310cc. Back then, the ‘performance motorcycles’ category was mainly dominated by the Bajaj Pulsar, but the Pune-based bike maker has faced a lot of competition from TVS.

Commenting on this achievement, K.N. Radhakrishnan, president and CEO, TVS, said “We are truly humbled to achieve this milestone and I want to express my gratitude to all our valued customers both in India and across the globe. Through the years, TVS Apache has stood for providing an unrivalled experience backed by its rich racing pedigree, technological firsts and stylish design.”

TVS’ 36-years of experience in the world of motorsports has played an important role in shaping the success of the Apache range. Currently, there are six motorcycles with Apache insignia – the standard 160, the 160 4V, the standard 180, the 180 ABS, the 200 4V and the RR 310. While the RR 310 was launched a few months back, the 160 4V is TVS’ latest Apache branded motorcycle. We have ridden the 160 4V and you can click here for our review. And oh, a while back, we had pitted the 160 4V against its natural rival, the Suzuki Gixxer and if you click on these blue words, you can find out how hard it was for us to choose between them.
