Yamaha launches ABS version of R15 v3.0

After all the questions about an ABS enabled R15, yamaha has just given their answer. They have just launched an new version of the R15 that will now get the essential safety tech. The newly launched version of the R15 v3.0 will get dual channel ABS and a new paint scheme. 
Mechanically, the motorcycle stays the same and uses the same 155cc, liquid cooled single that makes 19bhp and 14.7Nm of torque. It also gets Yamaha’s variable valve timing technology. 
Aside from the addition of ABS to the brakes, the chassis remains untouched. The new model will start from ₹1.39 lakh (ex-showroom). The R15 with the new paint scheme called Dark Night comes at an extra cost, at Rs 1.41 lakh (ex-showroom).

The initiative to offer dual channel ABS in YZF-R15 Version 3.0 has endowed Yamaha as the trendsetter in the 150 cc class, by introducing it for the first time in the particular segment. Yamaha will continue to optimize the thrill of riding with its style and excitement.”
