Behold: all five generations of Toyota Supra

Read more on:

The new Toyota Supra will be available for purchase in the first half of 2019. It will be powered by a turbo straight-six, feature rear-wheel-drive and look like the car in the weird camo above.

To celebrate its world debut then at last weekend’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, Toyota arranged a very special meet. Existing Supra owners got a closed-doors invite to see the new prototype, and Toyota brought all generations together for the first time.

We’re told the majority of the 50 Supras that rocked up were in “highly sought-after” Mk IV.

“I’m just so happy that we’ve made it to this point,” explains the new Supra’s chief engineer Tetsuya Tada, referencing the new Supra’s six-year development period. Hurry up and get the disguise off it please, Tada-San…

So, if you had the choice, which one would you go for? Mk IV twin turbo with overnight parts from Japan? Yeah, thought so…
