BMW X3 xDrive30i launched

Automaker BMW has decided to expand its petrol line-up with the launch of the all-new BMW X3 xDrive30i. The petrol-powered SUV can be ordered from any BMW dealership in the country. The new-petrol powered SUV is available in the Luxury Line design scheme too. Unlike the earlier X3s, this new one comes with some changes and additional features.

The new BMW X3 gets it trademark design element – the large kidney grille. The front gets fully adaptive headlights and LED fog lamps with the new hexagonal design. The rear features new LED taillights, a low-slung spoiler and chrome exhaust pipes on both sides. The SUV also boasts an automatic tailgate that makes opening and closing of the tailgate convenient. If you opt for the Luxury line, you get chrome inserts on the radiator grille a two-tone lower-body protection in matte grey with chrome trim and 19-inch alloy wheels.

The folks at BMW have even given the interiors in the Luxury line leather upholstery from Vernasca, the instrument panel Sensatec leather covers with a fine-wood trim. Other standard features like the display key and wireless charging from the previous BMW X3 have been carried forward to this newer petrol version. The SUV also gets a rear-view camera with park assist that will be handy when maneuvering into tight spaces. Apart from the spacious cabin, you also get 550 litres of boot capacity, which can be extended to 1600 litres through a split loading system. The SUV comes with a 12.3- inch multi-function instrument display panel, which includes a touch controller, Apple CarPlay, BMW Apps and Bluetooth and USB connectivity.

Compared to the older X3, the newer X3 xDrive30i houses a two-litre four-cylinder petrol engine that generates 252bhp and 350Nm of torque. The eight-speed automatic transmission that sends power to its all-wheel-drive system can reach 100kmph in 6.3 seconds. The new BMW also gets a lot of safety features like six airbags, ABS, Cornering Brake Control, Dynamic Stability Control, Dynamic Traction Control, electric parking brake with auto hold function, child seat mounting, tyre pressure indicator, side-impact protection, crash sensor and an emergency spare wheel.

The new X3 will be priced at Rs 56.9 lakh (ex-showroom) for its Luxury line and will take on other German rivals like the Audi Q5 and Mercedes GLC.
