Honda cars to get a little more expensive
Japanese car manufacturer, Honda, has announced that it’s going to increase the price of its entire range by Rs 10,000 to Rs 35,000, depending on the model. The revised price will come in to effect from August 1. Factors like increasing input costs, hike in custom duty and higher shipping costs have driven the Japanese carmaker to hike prices of its entire range.
During the Auto Expo, Honda had unveiled three all-new cars – the CR-V, the Civic and the Amaze. While there is still no word from the company about the launch of the new CR-V and the Civic, Honda had launched the all-new Amaze and it was well received by the customers. Since its launch, Honda has received 26,000 bookings of the all-new Amaze and it has already sold 9,103 units in the month of June.
Although the Amaze has had a strong start, it remains to be seen how this price hike will affect Honda’s year-end sales.
