Revealed: Skoda’s line-up for Geneva Motor Show
The Geneva Motor Show is just around the corner and thanks to social media, manufacturers are already showing us what we can expect during the 10-day event. We had recently shared that Skoda is going to unveil the L&K variant of the Kodiaq at the Geneva, but it seems Skoda has more than one surprise for us at the motor show.
The Czech carmaker is going to showcase a concept car which mates a CNG powered, four-cylinder turbo engine with an electric drive system. Skoda is also going to unveil an updated version of its hatchback, the Fabia. At the front, the new Fabia shares the same grille as its other stablemates. Skoda has completely ditched diesel engines and the upcoming Fabia will be powered by a range of petrol engines which will have outputs ranging from 59bhp to 108bhp.
Skoda is also going to unveil a new powertrain during the motor show. Superb’s 2.0-litre TSI block now produces 266bhp and is mated to an all-new 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox. The manufacturer is also going to introduce the top-spec variant of the Kodiaq at the Geneva motor show. The L&K variant gets 19-inch alloy wheels, full LED headlamps and chrome slats. The Kodiaq now gets two new engines – a 1.5-litre TSI, which puts out 147bhp and a 2.0-litre TSI which produces 186bhp.
During the motor show, the manufacturer is going to reveal the Octavia RS with the optional ‘Challenge Plus’ package. The top-of-the-line 2018 Octavia RS will have a 240bhp motor and limited-slip differential.
