Better looking than before and an even better engine, but driver involvement doesn't quite match up to Porsches or even BMWs.

    If you are looking for comfort, you shouldn't be looking at a two-seat roadster. Yet, it's not race-car uncomfortable.

    Superb, sweet-sounding straight-six engine. Incredible brakes and scenery-blurring pace.

  • Cool

    Super-duper cool. And if you do the roof open-shut drama, traffic will come to a stand-still.

  • Quality

    It's a well put-together BMW. What do you expect?

  • Handling

    There is nothing wrong with the handling. But the car doesn't transmit that typical BMW feel when you crack the whip around a corner.

  • Practicality

    Incredibly practical. If you consider two is company and think stuff like a bread loaf or a wallet don't belong inside a car.

  • Running costs

    You can watch fuel tank tick to empty. And a low body will leave you with a lot of repair bills, if you aren't careful with where you are going.
