Dakshin Dare returns
This year, a total of 110 participating teams will flag-off on Sunday, July 31, from Bengaluru and make their way through Coorg, Murdeshwar and Shimoga, to the final stage in Goa on August 6. Yes, nothing much to it, just a record number of participants traversing over 2,200 km of trying Southern Indian terrain spanning five legs over the course of six days.
Once again, there are three categories that participants will compete in – Ultimate Car, Ultimate Bike and Endurance.
Sandeep Sharma, will seek to defend his Ultimate Car champion title from Suresh Rana, the nine times winner of Raid-de-Himalaya and three times winner of Desert Storm. Jagmeet Gill and Chandan Sen, champions of the TSD category will be hunting for glory again, and so too will a favourite - Bani Yadav, who is known for her past which includes winning titles of Raid-de-Himalaya, Desert Storm and Autocross.
All in all, the eighth edition of the Dare promises to be an intense event with engaging battles for the top spot. We will bring you the updates once the event gets underway, so stay tuned.
