Launched: Yamaha Fazer v2.0
With the updated FZ range being launched at the end of June this year, it was only a matter of time before Yamaha launched the updated Fazer. Naturally, this is called the Fazer FI Version 2.0, as it continues to be a half-faired FZ.The new bits on the updated Fazer are the same as those on the new FZ, which means you get a new 149cc, fuel-injected, single-cylinder motor that puts out 13bhp and 12.8Nm. Though that's lesser power on paper as compared to the bike it replaces, but at 137kg, it's four kilos lighter than the previous model.Yamaha's new 'Blue Core' tech is present here too, which means the revised Fazer will run more kilometres to a litre of petrol. Yamaha claims fuel efficiency is up 14 per cent, and just to help you get more out of every last drop of petrol, there's an 'Eco Indicator' that lights up when you ride it in penny-pincher mode. And of course, like we've seen on the FZ, power delivery will be crisper. There's a newly-designed seat, new tyres, a tweaked chassis and altered suspension settings. And the edgier headlights, yes.The updated Fazer will be available in three shades - black, red and white - at a price of Rs 83,850 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
