Hero MotoCorp unveils the production-ready Xpulse and two 125cc scooters
Hero MotoCorp has unveiled a production-ready version of the Xpulse at Auto Expo, along with two new 125cc scooters — the Maestro Edge 125 and the Duet 125. The Xpulse was first unveiled to the world at EICMA 2017 as a concept, and this is the first time we are seeing it close to production. The Xpulse features a fuel injected 200cc motor that produces 18.1bhp and 17.1Nm of torque.This is the same motor that the Xtreme 200R comes equipped with, and is based on the Achiever 150s motor. The Xpulse gets a number of useful features that makes it capable in varied conditions. It comes equipped with a navigation system, full-LED headlamps, a protective windshield, a luggage rack and knuckle guards. The 200cc adventure bike gets 21-inch wheels at the front and 18-inch at the rear and 220mm of ground clearance, with long travel suspension. The Xpulse also gets the option to turn ABS off, allowing the rider better control in low traction situations. Along with the Xpulse, there were two new scooters on the Hero MotoCorp stand — the Maestro Edge 125 and Duet 125. Both scooters are powered by the same 125cc motor that makes 8.7bhp and 10.2Nm of twist. Both scooters also get Heros i3S stop-start technology, a first in the scooter segment. The Maestro Edge is available in both drum and disc variants and is available four colour options\: blue, red, brown and grey, while the Duet 125 gets only drum brakes.Hero MotoCorp has confirmed that the two scooters will be launched in the second quarter of FY19, while the Xpulse will make it to the market around the festive season.
