Pre-bookings for Datsun redi-Go commences from May 1
Datsun unveiled the redi-Go a few weeks back, and now the company has announced that it will start accepting pre-bookings for the urban crossover from May 1.
The launch however, is scheduled for June with the price stated to be between the Rs 2.5 to 3.5 lakh (ex-showroom) bracket. Based on the same CMF-A platform that underpins the popular Renault Kwid, the redi-Go though, will be cheaper than its sibling.
Billed as an 'urban crossover', the Datsun aims to combine the space, high seating position and ground clearance (185mm in this case) of a crossover with the high fuel economy and driving dynamics normally associated with a hatchback.
Not only the chassis, the redi-Go shares its engine too with the Renault Kwid. Under the bonnet lies the same 800cc, three-cylinder petrol engine mated to a five-speed manual gearbox.
If you're one of those enamoured by the thought of such a vehicle and want to make it yours. You can do so by paying a refundable deposit of Rs 5,000 at any of the 217 Nissan outlets across the country. Don't want to take the trouble? No worries. Datsun's latest can also be booked online through the Snapdeal ecommerce portal. If you're too lazy to do that too, there's the option of downloading the 'Datsun India App' on your phone.
Now, there's practically no reason for you to not book this Datsun. Unless, of course, you don't want to.
