TVS Ntorq crosses 1 lakh sales mark
The scooter industry in India is quite aggressive right now. Every two-wheeler manufacturer wants to rule this segment. And to make an impact in this hotly-contested segment, you need a product which sets it apart from others and this is what TVS did when it brought the Ntorq around six months ago. And in these six months, TVS has already sold one lakh unit of the Ntorq.To commemorate this milestone, TVS has introduced a new paint scheme - Metallic Red. Other than the new paint scheme, everything else remains the same. The Ntorq is TVS Motors' first 125cc scooter and the company has made sure that it doesn't miss out on giving customers a premium experience. It gets a, wait for it, the new SmartXonnect all-digital that connects with the rider via Bluetooth. The digital speedometer shows various information such as navigation details, caller information, phone battery status, lap times, and so on. Other features which the Ntorq can boast about are ride modes (Sport and Street), top speed recorder, telescopic suspension, an engine kill switch, external fuel filler cap, USB charging slot and an optional front disc brake.The Ntorq is powered by a single-pot, 3-valve 124.79cc motor that produces 9.4bhp and 10.5Nm of torque. TVS claims that the Ntorq will cover 0-100kph in under seven seconds. It is equipped with a telescopic suspension up front and gas-filled shock at the rear. The Ntorq is priced at Rs 58,750 (ex-showroom) and goes up against the Honda Grazia, the Suzuki Burgman, the Access 125, the Honda Grazia and the Aprilia SR 125.
