Also called the Flying Fortress, the MGX-21 is the Italian company's entry into the bagger segment. The Italian styling is enhanced with carbon fiber bits, such as the front mudguard, fuel tank panels, side pannier covers and the engine cover.The transverse 1380cc V-twin engine makes 95bhp and 121Nm of torque that is mated to a 6-speed transmission. Creature comforts include an entertainment system and cruise control. Safety devices include the usual ABS, adjustable traction control, and ride-by-wire accelerator. These are entry-level models from the Italian brand and are meant to make the Moto Guzzi a bit more popular on our roads. The V9 range is more street focused rather than out right touring. It will be available in two versions - Roamer and Bobber, with their own distinct style. The Roamer comes in bright colours with chrome on the engine bits and exhaust. The Bobber gets a blacked out look. Other subtle differences include the handlebar, with the Roamer having a sweptback one for comfy riding position, while the Bobber gets a flatter handlebar and fatter rubber upfront.The trademark Moto Guzzi transversely mounted V-Twin engine is 850cc. It makes 55bhp and 50Nm of torque that is channelled via a 6-speed gearbox. Other tech bits include ABS, adjustable traction and a USB port. The V9 Bobber and Roamer are priced at Rs 13.60 lakh, ex-showroom Pune.The V9 range and the MGX-21 are exclusively available through Piaggio's Motoplex dealerships.
