Revealed: Skoda Vision RS
This is the Skoda Vision RS - a five-door hatchback that we will be seeing at the upcoming Paris motor show. Skoda isn't new to using the RS badges on its cars. Back in 1974, after the success of the rally-spec cars such as the 180 RS, 200 RS and the 130 RS, Skoda started using the RS badges on the performance variants of its cars.Skoda hasn't given any details on the powertrain; yet. Will it be a hybrid? Will it be an all-electric car? We simply don't know yet. But, what we do know is this\: the Vision RS will be 4,356mm long, 1,810mm wide and it'll have a wheelbase of 2,650mm. And with a height of 1,431mm, the Vision RS will sit quite low to the ground, making it look sporty and muscular. And oh, if you pay attention at the dimensions, you will notice that the Vision RS is a tad smaller than the Karoq (the Karoq is 26mm longer and 31mm wider than the Vision RS). We already know that Skoda is prepping a fast version of the Kodiaq. In fact, the Kodiaq is currently the fastest seven-seater to lap the Nurburgring. The upcoming Kodiaq vRS will use a 2-litre twin-turbo, four-cylinder motor. The oil-burner will produce 236bhp and power will be pushed to all four wheels. The 1.7-ton seven-seater SUV will be capable of doing the standard 0-100kph sprint in 6.5s.
