Watch a 262bhp Go-Kart kill tyres for fun
If you're a keen player of TopGear Top Trumps, you'll know that outright power isn't always everything.Yes, a Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat with 707bhp may be the most powerful production muscle car... in the world, but power-to-weight ratio can be the real trump card of choice. And, if you click play above, you'll see one of the best illustrations that lots of power and little weight makes for one terrifying combination. It's thanks to a mysterious Brazilian power-obsessive who's trying to cram 500bhp into a Go-Kart thanks to a massively turbocharged engine from a VW Golf.As it stands, power currently resides at 262bhp... in something that weighs roughly the same as an empty egg box and is built in a Brazilian shed. To say it looks like 'a bit of a handful' is a massive understatement. Seriously, if you thought the inflatable bucking bronco at your local nightclub was hard to control, you ain't seen nothing yet. With a drop of the clutch, a terrifying tornado of tyre smoke pours off the rear wheels as it hacks off rubber at the rate of about eight sets of tyres a mile. But we have to admit, it does look like fun. But would you hop in the hot seat? Let us know below.
