The TopGear Malaysia Eco Challenge is our initiative to get you, our readers, to join us in experiencing today’s most efficient cars and find out how they perform in the real world.
In the first edition of the TopGear Malaysia Eco Challenge, we will require two readers to pilot two units of the Volkswagen Golf TSI. The German marque claims that its bread-and-butter model can do 5.0l/100km but is it a realistic figure for the turbocharged little number?
To find out, you will be driving from KL to Malacca in mixed conditions and under our watch. Along the way, you will learn how to drive efficiently and discover the driving pleasures offered by the car as well.
All you need to do to join is to tell us your name, age, contact details and share with us what fuel efficiency means to you via our Facebook page or email (email@example.com).
If you don’t make the cut this time around, fret not. We will be having more of these challenges with different cars in the months to come.
Join us, and together we’ll learn how to stay away from the fuel pumps for as long as we can. And have some fun driving too of course!
