WHEN Malaysians are concerned, a hot hatch refers to a souped up Perodua Myvi.
For those lazy enough to modify theirs, Perodua even has a souped up ones ready for you, enough with snazzy bodykit and bumpers plus a rear wing that can fly you to the moon, and back.
But for Europeans, a hot hatch is a small hatchback that spits fire and corners sharper than a ninja blade.
One of them has landed here, the Renault Clio RenaultSport 200.
Still actually based on the previous model available here, this new 2012 Clio RS 200 has a higher horsepower (200PS, compared with the 197PS of last model) and 20 per cent more torque (215Nm).
Renault also made the first three gear ratios shorter and closer, for that added sprint during early morning traffic light GPs.
Actually, TopGear Malaysia was the first publication to take the car out on local roads, and Hezeri Samsuri has a complete report of this fantastic hatch in our upcoming April issue.
In the mean time, enjoy the pictures buddies!
