Honda Malaysia has announced that it will be launching the ninth generation Civic soon in the market. According to Honda’s marketing buzz, the car will follow the concept of “smart advanced technology”. The new Civic will sport a new design, both inside and outside. The sleeker silhouette gives a car a modern appearance while the interiors too have been redesigned. The car comes with improved fuel economy on all variants, interactive and convenient technologies and enhancements to performance, drive and interior styling.
The new Civic will be made available in three variants – 1.8L i-VTEC, 2.0L i-VTEC and 2.0L Navi. The 1.8L’s engine remains the same as the existing model but has been tweaked for better fuel consumption. The 2.0L variant now gets an SOHC i-VTEC engine as compared to the previous DOHC i-VTEC, bettering fuel economy along with performance.
