Ford has expanded its lineup in Malaysia with the launch of the all-new Ford Focus and surprisingly, the 247hp Focus ST as well.

The all-new Ford Focus comes in hatchback and sedan forms, whereby all variants come with a 2.0L Duratec Ti-VCT GDi engine paired to a six-speed Powershift dual clutch automatic transmission. This powertrain produces 168hp and 202Nm of torque, contributing to a top speed of 207km/h.

There are four variants for the all-new focus – Titanium, Titanium+, Sport and Sport+. The Titanium variant refers to the sedan while the hatchback is called the Sport. All cars come are equipped with six airbags, ABS, EBD, BA, Traction Control System (TCS), Torque Vectoring Control (TVC), Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) and ISOFIX points at the rear seat. Other standard equipment include a keyless entry system, push-start button, leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio and phone controls dual-zone climate control and a 4.2″ multi-function display paired to a Sony head-unit that channels audio through the car’s nine-speaker sound system.

Features that the Titanium+ and the Sport + get over the Titanium and Sport variants are front parking sensors, headlamp washers, power sunroof, active park assist, active city stop, bi-xenon HID automatic headlamps, automatic wipers, auto dimming interior rear view mirror and cruise control. As for the differences between the Titanium and Sport variants, the hatchback gets partial leather seats and 17″ alloy wheels while the sedan gets full leather seats with a six-way power seat for the driver and 16″ wheels.

Ford also launched one of its most renowned high-performance model in recent years, the Focus ST. Boasting a 2.0L Ecoboost engine that produces 250hp and 340Nm of torque, the car can hit 100km/h from a standstill in 6.5 seconds all the way to a top speed of 248km/h. The car comes with a six-speed manual transmission and features Electronic Power-assisted Steering (EPAS), TSC, ESP, TVC and Cornering Under Steer Control (CUSC). It wears a aerodynamic body package that sets its appearance apart from the standard Focus and rides on 18″ alloy wheels. The interior is also strikingly different from that of the standard Focus, featuring Recaro seats, additional gauges for turbo boost, oil pressure and oil temperature as well as specially designed ST steering wheel, gearshift and pedals.
