BMW Group Malaysia has expanded their lineup with the launch of the all-new BMW 320i, which will add to the ranks of the 328i, 335i and 320d which were introduced earlier this year. The 320i is available in two variants called the Luxury and Sport Lines. They both carry BMW’s new TwinPower Turbo 2.0 litre in-line four-cylinder petrol engine mated to an eight-speed Steptronic transmission. With 184hp and 270Nm of torque under its belt, the 320i is capable of a 0-100km/h time of 7.6 seconds.
As with all new BMW models, the latest model in the 3-series range also features BMW’s EfficientDynamics innovations such as Brake Energy Regeneration, Auto Start/Stop function as well as the Eco Pro mode, which altogether contribute to an average fuel consumption of 6 litres per 100km and CO2 emissions of 141g/km.
The Luxury Line sports a more classic look, with chrome elements on the kidney grille, air inlets and window frames. It rides on 17-inch light-alloy wheels and the interior is lined with a fine wood trim with a Pearl Gloss finish. The Sport Line on the other hand has its kidney grille, air inlets and tailpipe trim finished in high-gloss black, riding on a different design of 17-inch wheels. The interior gets the sport treatment with sport seats and a sporty leather steering wheel with red contrast stitching. A sporty instrument cluster and a Coral Red Matt interior trim completes the overall sporty theme.
The BMW 320i is priced at RM238,800 for both variants. Prices are on-the-road without insurance, and includes BMW’s service and repair program called BMW Service + Repair Inclusive (BS+RI) which covers wear-and-tear repairs and replacements as well as maintenance, service and repair of factory components. The BS+RI program covers the vehicle for three years or 60,000km, whichever comes first.
