Smart has been promoting the new 2013 ForTwo Electric Drive aggressively over the last couple of weeks and the latest trick up their sleeves is this clever advertisement which stresses how intelligent the car supposedly is.
The Electric Drive is Smart’s all-electric plugin variant of the FourTwo which is powered by a 55kW electric motor that churns out 129Nm of torque with an adequate 0-100km/h time of 11.5 seconds. The electric motor can be fully recharged within six to seven hours and provides a total driving range of about 145km.
Understandably, the ForTwo Electric Drive will be competing against the likes of the Mitsubishi i and Nissan Leaf but without an established EV market in the country, we can’t expect this intelligent being to arrive on Malaysian shores anytime in the near future.
