Toyota Suppliers’ Club recently hosted its 15th annual “Golf Tournament” at Tasik Puteri Golf & Country Club.The annual event was held exclusively for Toyota suppliers and garnered much anticipation from all its members. This year’s event attracted a total of 119 participants and the Overall Champion was Mr. Ronny Tan of CSE Automotive Technologies Sdn. Bhd.
The annual golf event included a charity hole and all proceeds collected at the charity hole was donated to the Rumah Aman, Shah Alam. An amount of RM 4,570 was presented by Mr. Tan Khay Boon, the Chairman of the Toyota Suppliers’ Club and also witnessed by Toyota Suppliers’ Club Exco Members. Mr. Tan Khay Boon said, “We hope that our humble contribution from the Toyota Suppliers’ Club will help to ease the burden and to provide the children with the basic necessities”.
Toyota Suppliers’ Club conducts educational programmes such as the Toyota Production System (TPS) Joint Kaizen Programme, Quality Control Circle Programme and Local/Overseas Study Visits for its members. The Club endeavour to support a number of charitable fundraising programmes through their activities.
The Toyota Suppliers’ Club Malaysia was established in 1997. The Chairman of the Toyota Suppliers’ Club Malaysia is Mr Tan Khay Boon from Oriental Metal Industries (M) Sdn. Bhd, who is assisted by Mr Winston Koay from Nakagawa Rubber Industries Sdn Bhd and supported by 9 EXCO members. There are a total of 62 members from various local companies.
The Toyota Suppliers’ Club Malaysia intends to help members to achieve and to upgrade their quality and cost competitiveness so they are able to export their products to the ASEAN region and other countries. This will contribute towards the growth of the auto industry in Malaysia with more export business.
