The Alfa Romeo Gloria Concept will serve as a preview for the all-new Giulia model scheduled for a 2015 release.

Developed by students at European Design Institute (IED) in collaboration with Alfa Styling Center, the Gloria concept will make its public debut next month at the Geneva Motor Show.

The Giulia will be launched in Europe, United States and Asia and will be an important model for the company’s objective to reach 300,000 cars sold annually by 2016, three times more than last year’s deliveries. It will be available as a sedan and a wagon, and will serve as a replacement for the Europe-exclusive Alfa Romeo 159, which was axed towards the end of 2011.

The Gloria concept measures 4700mm long, 1920mm wide and 1320mm tall with a 2900mm wheelbase. These measurements should be close to those of the forthcoming sedan. The 2015 Giulia will boast the longest wheelbase among cars developed using Fiat-Chrysler’s compact wide architecture.
