News of the Renault Megane RS 265 Trophy appears to have been hewn from the same rock of propulsion the yellow-hued FWD rocket has. Although it has been around for some time now, it still holds the record time for a FWD car around Nurburgring.
But you already know this. You already know the swollen performance figures of 265bhp and 265lb ft of torque, a 0-100kmph time of six seconds flat and a top speed of 254kmph. You already know it runs on Bridgestone tyres to help it corner at incredible speeds; speeds that have helped it lap the famous automotive torture chamber in a record front-wheel-drive-car time of 8min 7.97sec.
That, fact fans, is nine seconds faster than the Megane R.26R which held the old FWD record.
Now, see how it’s done.
