Kia Very Good
For a moment this morning, Kia had us all excited when pics of this VG premium saloon dropped into our inbox.
It was shown as a concept at the Seoul motorshow earlier this year and these are the first pics of the production version.
But then we calmed down when we realised it won’t be coming to the UK.
Yup, this one’s for the Korean’s, Americans and a select few Europeans. It will replace the Opirus saloon, a fat and dreary old thing that we’ve never had in Britain.
Still, at least we have the Magentis. Hmm...
What do you think? Would you like to see this in the UK? Does the VG stand for Very Good? Post your thoughts below and maybe we’ll send some sort of petition to Kia, who will ignore us.

I think it looks realy good, but will it actually look like this when the will make it ... ? Anyway, couldn't care less if it comes to UK, hate KIA's and all thoose horible korean cars ...

looks like a vw passat cc crossed with an audi A5 sportback to me ... or maybe its just the weels that are the same as the CC anyways, they copied the design from audi or vw, because thats what its most similiar to

It might be an imitation of many european designs but I guess they did a pretty fine job! It does look quite impressive from the back. Hope they didn't screw up the front!

Oh, it's replacing the Avanti. I really wish these different names in different markets bits would end. Was there some reason Opirus was deemed less suitable than Avanti in NA? Rant said, that's a nice looking car. Of course, after it moves from concept to reality, it'll look like an Avanti.

Shame it's not coming this direction (I presume if it's not coming to the UK it's not coming to Ireland) it could have been the new reasonably priced car for the "stars".

I first thought it was a Renault. Not a good thing, but maybe not so bad either.

The back end of it reminds me of Audi's Nuvolari concept from a couple of years back... and that's definitely not an insult. I haven't seen the front yet, but unless the designers got completely pissed before designing the front end, I think it will turn out to be a very good looking car! The VG could stand for anything... they're Korean, so maybe it's Vegetables & Greyhound - it's a well known Korean delicacy.

It's got something to do with Peter Schreyer ( ex-Audi ) now at the helm at Kia... that's why all this comparison to Audi or Volkswagen cars. Which I honestly think is a big plus for the Koreans, now their cars are getting more noticed and is giving them the cred they need.

These Koreans make me laugh!!! All they've done is combined a Jaguar XF with the Audi A5 Sportback, bolted a set of 20" BMW 7-series wheels and stuck a Kia badge on the boot. Well....at least they tried. LOL!! :-)

Kia rule! At the end of the day all a car is is some metal some wheels and some sofas. If you really think it makes an ounce of difference what plastic badge is glued to the bonnet and steering wheel you should get a grip!

this car looks like the new insignia from the side. but i dont like new car brands and this one is too new and inexperienced so im sticking to the ford mondeo

Looks kinda Audi-slash-VW-ish from that angle. But still good. If it was a good car I'd consider it, because whilst people would sneer at you, you would know that they're missing out on a genuinely good car. Like the Cee'd.

I don't know... It seems like a mere imitation of many cars. Is that cool? Ok, it's good looking. But having many features in common with other cars definitely isn't a cool thing.
