Oh dear. That's not gone well, has it? The theory was all good for racing a Nissan 370Z at Castle Combe: drive our own long-term 370Z Roadster there, jump into the coupe racing car to see if we can inject a bit of manliness into the Nissan, go home proud.
We've been worried that this latest version of Nissan's Z car has gone a bit soft, so a proper race, against other proper racing cars, seemed like a perfect chance to test it. Except that TopGear magazine's Piers Ward got a bit too enthusiastic when he was testing out this theory of manliness. Watch the video below to see how he got on.
Keep up with the other exploits of our long-term 370Z every month in TopGear magazine.

I don't know anything about the regulations, but how can a vauxhall corsa keep up with a 370z??? And clearly the corsa hit the back of the nissan and caused the crash.

@Patrickvdlinden I totally agree... it was the corsa that caused the accident... the 370z out(over) braked him and he should of given way... not hit him in the back!...

The twit in the corsa got the hump for being tapped during the race and thought he'd send the Nissan off but it back fired on him, he is totally to blame for that in my opinion if he hadn't touched him the Nissan wouldn't of ended up on the tires either he'd of just over shot the corner.

The Nissan went in way too fast and was going off anyway. The guy in the corsa had nowhere to go, he didnt turn in on him like you say he did (or looked like). you obviously havent driven on, or been to the track and seen that bend if you think that. - The 350 has what 350bhp and weighs 1500kgs, and the corsa has 200bhp and weighs sat 1150kgs and easier to race, probably why track performance was so close
