Porsche 911 GT3

Porsche may be better noted nowadays for its cars' abilities to go round in circles very quickly, but once upon a time it was a force to be reckoned with in rallying.

Now, the Future World rally team from Belgium fancies putting Porsche back in the thick of forest stages and has come up with a rally prepped GT3.

Complete with 381bhp 3.6-litre engine, the production run of 10 cars is based on the 996 generation of 911.

The cars will take part in the German Rally Championship, which means racing on tarmac and gravel against Subaru Impreza and Mitsubishi Lancer Evo WRC refugees.

If you fancy a crack at rallying in a 911, each car costs £87,500 plus entry fees and running costs.
