See the Daily Star on Saturday (November 1)? They ran a story claiming they could reveal the identity of the Stig.
Their paparazzi apparently snapped a guy after the National Telly Awards wearing one of our ‘I am The Stig’ T-shirts and they reckon it’s our tame racing driver.
The real Stig left the Royal Albert Hall shortly after picking up the gong and stepped straight into the back of a waiting limo. It seems a couple of hungry snappers then followed him back to the TG office in west London hoping for a revealing pic.
Instead, they snapped one of TG's production runners leaving the office after a late night. Some say he makes the odd cup of tea for Clarkson and that he works in TGI Fridays in Covent Garden, but only on Saturdays. And they are right.
So that clears that one up. It does make us wonder, though – if they papped a fake Santa before Christmas would they tell kids he doesn’t exist? Neither would we.
And, by the way, if you too want to fool the paparazzi into thinking you are our tame racing driver, you can buy the very T-shirt Will was wearing from the Top Gear shop.
