Kia KND-4 news - Korea development - 2007

It may be a concept for the Seoul Motor Show, but the KND-4 points a finger in the right direction for the next Kia Sorento.

The SUV is accompanied by the usual blurb about it being designed for 'those who crave an active lifestyle', but it does give us a good look at what's to come from the Korean firm.

The KND-4's three-door shape and coupe-esque window line may be less than practical, but look at the overall shape and style, and it's not so far away from becoming a reality.

However, we won't see the KND-4's 20in wheels anytime soon on a production Kia, and nor are we likely to witness the LED instrument screen taking over from normal dials in the near future.

However, the 2.2-litre turbodiesel engine and Kia's Active Torque Transfer four-wheel-drive system will be on production models soon.
